The Swedish government wishes to introduce permanent road pricing in the City of Stockholm. Therefore, the Ministry of Finance has presented a proposition for changes in the road pricing system.
The proposition contains regulations regarding all private and professional vehicles, with the exemption of environmental cars, busses and vehicles for disabled are subject to road pricing. Environmental cars are exempted for a limited period of 5 years.  As a new part of the proposition, it is suggested that also taxis should be subject to road pricing.
Furthermore, it is suggested that the rate for late payment should be reduced from 500 to 200 SEK, and should not exceed a total of 2000 SEK. Additionally, the proposition contains a suggestion of keeping the month of July free of charge.
